33rd BCS Preliminary Exam 2012
Nearly 194,000 candidates would sit the 33rd BCS tests against 4,206 posts in this year. Out of 4206 posts, 112 in education cadre (teachers training college), 607 education college (general college), 2905 professional technical cadre and 582 will be appointed in general cadre. Of the general cadre, some 300 will be recruited in administration, 89 in police and 16 in foreign affairs through the 33rd BCS exam.
Earlier on Feb 29, the PSC published the 33rd BCS circular. Applicants were given dateline from Mar 8 to Apr 7 to fill out the online application forms and pay fees. This is the first time applicants had to fill out their BCS application forms online.
All the candidates of 33rd BCS Exam are requested to check the following important notifications and instructions before attending the exam -
- Friday, June 1 2012: 33rd BCS Preliminary (MCQ Type) Exam will start at 10 am on Friday, June 1 2012.
- Before starting from home, check that you are carrying all the necessary items, like Admit Card, Black Ball-Point Pen and a normal basic Calculator. Scientific calculators are not allowed. Also you cannot bring books, bag or mobile phone inside the exam center.
- Carefully read all the directions given on the Admit Card before entering the exam center.
- Keep yourself away from any kind of illegal activities, which could lead a life-time ban by BPSC.
- Don’t send someone else to seat for your exam. This could trigger immediate expel and severe legal penalty.
- Magistrate & police officer will check each candidate Admit Card and other items at time of entering exam center. You cannot enter the exam center if you are carrying a mobile phone or any other electronic/communication devices.
- The 1 hour duration 33rd BCS preliminary exam will conduct 100 questions. Candidates will get 1 mark for each correct answer, though for each wrong answer 0.50 mark will be deducted.
- 09:20 am: All examinees should take their seat in respective exam centers within 9:20 am.
- No candidates will be allowed to enter the exam center after 10:00 am.
- Nobody can leave the exam center during the exam period (10 am to 11 am)
- 09:30 am: Answer sheet will be supplied on 9:30 am.
- Write your District Name & 33rd BCS Registration number using Black point ballpen.
- Registration numbers are of 6 digits. If any candidate have a registration number smaller than 6 digits, then he/she need to fill the left sided circles with 0 (zero) and then fill the rest of the block with the registration number using black ballpoint pen.
- Fill the circles for Registration number with the same Black point ballpen.
- Put your signature on the attendance sheet with the same black pen. Keep your Admit card open on your desk while signing.
- Attendance sheet will contain candidates photo for verification along with registration number & name.
- 10:00 am: Question paper will be handed over to the examinees.
- Write the Question paper ‘Set Number’ on your Answer sheet and fill the related circles before start writing the answers.
- Answer sheet will be eliminated if the Question ‘Set Number’ is not written on it.
- 11:00 am: 33rd BCS Preliminary Exam 2012 Exam will end on 11am.
- Stay on your seat till the examiner collects your answer sheet.
- Leave the exam center along with the question paper.
